About Boulard X.O. Auguste Calvados Pays d’Auge

Produced by the Boulard family in the town of Coquainvilliers in French Normandy since setting up the operation in 1825, Calvados Boulard began as a cider and calvados distillery. Founded by Pierre-Auguste Boulard who was one of the pioneers of the calvados category, the distillery and its distribution expanded considerably during the 20th century, reaching Europe and Africa in the 30s and the USA, Canada, and Scandinavia in 1947. The Boulard family backed an initiative in 1942 that would lead to the creation of the AOC ― Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (Controlled Designation of Origin) ― Calvados Pays d’Auge.

Boulard’s Luxury Collection features their finest work and the Auguste XO expression is no exception. Celebrating the founder of the maison, Pierre-Auguste Boulard, it’s a showcase of the Cellar Master’s skill. You’ll find notes of apple, vanilla, honey, caramel, and toasted almonds in this exquisite 80-proof expression.

About Boulard Calvados

Coming from the famous Pays d’Auge, Calvados Boulard VSOP is produced with traditional methods and aged for at least 4 years. Bottled at 80 proof, this golden amber spirit greets immediately with rich aromas of apple cider and spiced oak that develop into more cider, stewed apple, dry oak, vanilla, fresh mint, cinnamon and a touch of peppery spice on the light yet flavorful palate. Enjoy neat or in classic cocktails.

Acquired by Spirit France in 2007, Maison Boulard is run today by Vincent Boulard, the fifth generation of the Boulard family. Located in Pays d’Auge – much like the Grand Champagne region of Cognac – Calvados Boulard is among most renowned in the region.

About Brandy

Brandy is typically produced from distilled wine and other fermented fruit juices like apples, pears, and other sweet fruits.

It is a perfect after-dinner digestif served neat or slightly warmed by holding the glass with your hands.

The kick can vary between 70-120 proof, and it gets its flavor from aging in wooden casks.
