Description
About KAH Huichol Extra Añejo Tequila
KAH Tequila takes its inspiration from Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a Mexican holiday with roots in Mayan and Aztec culture. Instead of mourning and sadness, it celebrates the lives of the departed, seeing death as a natural part of life. KAH (ancient Mayan for “life”) channels the spirit of this joyful holiday with its calavera-inspired bottles. KAH Huichol Extra Añejo is crafted by Amber Production Tequila (previously known as Fabrica de Tequilas Finos) in Jalisco, Mexico. The limited-edition spirit is made from 100% blue agaves from both the highlands and lowlands of Jalisco. After distillation, it spent more than a decade in specially-toasted oak casks that were placed in cellars with controlled temperature and humidity. Each numbered bottle is a unique, handcrafted work of art that is made by a native Mexican tribe ― the Huichol from the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range. It takes a skilled craftsman 35 hours to decorate a single bottle.
